On March 5th, last Sunday, a charity run was held by the people at Muscular Dystrophy UK to raise funds and awareness about the cause and the condition – the event went very well and was attended en-masse by supporters and those with muscular dystrophy themselves.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is a charity that provides essential support and raises awareness for people with muscular dystrophy. Founded in 1959, the charity runs multiple events each year in order to raise funds for their work and to bring attention to the issues that people afflicted by the condition face in day-to-day life. As the charity has grown, they’ve extended their reach outside muscular dystrophy and are now “leading the fight against muscle-wasting conditions”.
Andy (pictured above) is sporting his Industria t-shirt. He was originally meant to be taking part in the event with our Northampton Branch Manager, Michael Gilbert, however Michael was unfortunately unable to attend.
Andy currently has a JustGiving page that you can donate to in support of him taking part in the race for Muscular Dystrophy UK. You visit the page and donate to Andy by following this link: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Andy-McKenna5
The Industria team are very proud of Andy for taking part in the event and for supporting such a worthwhile and important cause. We wish him the best of luck with his donations and will be publishing the amount he raised on the closing date of the donations: Friday, March 17th.
