This week in Industria Staff Insights we are featuring Keeley Hughes, our Senior Payroll and Administration Manager. Tomorrow she is taking in part of the Brave the Shave challenge to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support by very bravely having her own head shaved!
MacMillan Cancer Support hold a special place in Keeley’s heart and she wanted to do something to give back for all of the essential work they do and help they provide for those in need.
What did you do before you joined Industria?
I worked for an Accountancy Firm, managing roughly 70 client payrolls.
What drew you to the recruitment sector?
I had worked for an employment agency doing payroll/accounts before I had children.
Why in particular did you want to work for Industria?
I have been with Industria several years now, at that time I joined Industria was starting to expand and it seemed like a really interesting challenge.
How did you find out about working for Industria?
Michael Walker contacted me and asked to meet with me regarding a new position of a Payroll Manager, with Industria’s planned expansion they needed someone experienced in payroll systems and someone who could organise the department and the team too.
Where do you see yourself in the future with Industria?
I know we are still growing as a business and that means the payroll will grow, I will be training staff at different payroll levels and ensuring that we offer the best payroll service that is possible.
We would like to thank Keeley for taking the time to tell us about herself and offering us an insight into her story and how she became payroll manager at Industria. Keeley is a core part of the Industria Team and we wish her all the best with her ‘very brave’ fundraising event for such a great charity.
