We have a very wide variety of different good news to share this week including our monthly ‘FitBit Champion’ (a new competition that we will be running across the company) as well as an inspiring ‘Brave the Shave’ fundraising effort for a fantastic cause by our senior payroll and administration manager.
But first, birthdays…
Olivia Cowley -Contract Manager in Swindon branch celebrated her 21st birthday in style yesterday - She was out enjoying the delights of the spa town of Bath during the daytime and a Cheltenham in the evening. We all hope you had a fantastic day Olivia!
We would also like to wish a very happy birthday to one of our temps Miroslawa Adamczak, who will be turning 62 on the 9th of April!!!
This month’s ‘Fitbit Champion’ is (drum roll….) Mathew Coulson our operations director with a very impressive average of 157,410 steps over the course of just a week!!!! Incredible! He was closely followed by our Training and Quality Manager Charlotte Gent, who had another impressive weekly average of 129,154 steps. When we asked Charlotte what she thought of Mat’s win, she said “He's out to prove a point - Don't worry it's the tortoise and hare approach I'm going for.”
We’re excited to see who next month’s FitBit Champion will be!
The Hinckley team have informed us that they’ve started a new fitness regime: Weekly sessions with a personal trainer. It’s going well, but it should be noted that there was a strong smell of ‘Deep Heat’ (a joint and muscle soothing cream) in the branch for the whole of Tuesday and Wednesday!
Finally, we’d like to offer our support once again to our senior payroll and administration manager, Keeley Hughes. She is taking part in Macmillan Cancer Supports “Brave the Shave” fundraising initiative and is having all of her hair shaved off for Charity today! Andy McKenna, one of our operations managers is also getting into the fundraising spirit and is having his beard shaved off in support of Keeley and Macmillan Cancer Support. We will tell you more about the event and how much was raised next week! You can donate to Keeley here: https://bravetheshave.org.uk/shavers/keeley-hughes/
We hope that all of this good news has brightened your mood this Friday and will give you a spring in your step for the weekend and as always, we would like to wish everybody a ‘Happy Friday’ and a great weekend.
